Safe Routes to School
Minnesota Safe Routes to School is an effort to improve walking and bicycling conditions for our youth and encourage more active lifestyles. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), along with many other partners across the state, are working together to help schools and communities develop Safe Routes to School programs.
Safe Routes to School Plan
The Foley City Council will be looking into adopting the follow plan with Foley Public Schools later this fall.
Safe Routes in Foley
The City of Foley is kicking off our Safe Routes to School planning efforts! The city received a Planning Assistance grant from MnDOT earlier this year to help convene a team, prioritize strategies, and identify solutions.
Safe Routes to School is a collaborative effort with the school, city and county to produce a safe routes to school plan. You can help by taking a few minutes to map your walking route to school.
